Advocates Want Cell Phone Cancer Risk Explored

Pennsylvania Senator and brain cancer survivor Arlen Specter was to
hold a Senate committee hearing this week on whether using a cell
phone could make you sick. At the same time, an international
conference is examining the scientific research on cancer risks linked
to exposure to cell phone radiation. Doctor Devra Davis is a
university professor of public health who was scheduled to testify at
the congressional hearing. She says there's mounting evidence that
cell phone use may come at a high price, and more research is needed
-- despite cell phone industry assurances there is no public health
risk.
