I am currently thinking about giving MobileGTD a new flash lite based user interface.

I have done a major rework on the back-end, so new features will be easier to implement here. But we also need a nice UI for all of this! David Allen said something like: Buy the yourself a really good pencil then you will be more likely to write things down with it. And MobileGTD definitely needs work on this end.

Get involved!

I challenge all users of MobileGTD to think about how a nice UI for MobileGTD would look like. Send me whatever comes to your mind in the form of sketches, pictures, mockups.

Maybe someone even knows some flash lite?

I am really looking forward to seeing your ideas!!

The good thing about Flash Lite also is it could be potentially ported
easily to a multi-platform desktop version.

Am not really a GUI person, but I'd image some of the iphone apps would
give you some good ideas. Something like this maybe?

Without all the priorities & stuff

cheers

Yeah, RTM looks really good on the iPhone :)
We could use those small coloured circular buttons to represent the state of projects and actions as well.
Green means project/action active,
red means project should be reviewed / action is overdue and
yellow means project is someday-maybe or tickled / action is unscheduled.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the application should be usable on both
touch and non-touch devices. So everything I can do by just touching a nice big button
on a touch device should be accessible via visible key shortcuts (best placed on the buttons).

Excellent news! I'm looking for it so much! Thank you for great work!

btw. did you see my mails about the feature request? I repeat them here,
if it makes annoying, say sorry to you.

1. Supports to link a document foo.txt to project's action(or project
itself or
project's infos), so, when I click the action, the relative document will
be
opened up automatically, so it will greatly extend the infos that the
projects
can provide and refer to.

2. I like operating with the key shortcuts, so the first two items "new
project" and "new action" in the projects lists are useless for me, and
they take much space of my screen, can I remove them from my view?

3. Can I configure the font for mobileGTD it using? I like smaller font,
so I can see more projects at a time. I have configure my phone font to
the smallest, but I still think a smaller will be better.

Hi Van

could you post three issues for your features on the MobileGTD Issues page?

I am currently finishing the refactorings, I might implement the easy ones (2. and 3.) in about 3-4 weeks. The first one is a little bit harder, I don't know when or if I get to do that one.

btw, I like the concept that mobilegtd handles just directories and plain
text files, that's the main reason I choise it, I like simple, and also
efficient!
