Running a “webserver in your pocket” isn’t as dumb as it first sounds. When I first heard of Racoon the open source mobile web server earlier this year I thought how dumb is that, until the presenter started giving examples of some really cool, and smart applications that this enables.

 

Such as someone externally from you on the web can type in a url and then access the camera function from your handset,

or you can run an application that queries your phone for location information and then serves the information up on the internal webserver.

 

Is anyone on this list running/developing any ‘mobile webserver’ related applications?
