Role: CICS Admin with WebSphere MQ

Location: Holliston, MA

Job Description:

CICS Admin Support exposure is required in Configuration, environment maintenance, installation, trouble shooting areas.

Short JD:

Mandatory Skills:- CICS General, CICS Plex, CICS Explorer, CICS Web Services, C/Parse, CAFC, XPEDITER for CICS, Finalist, GENTRAN, Omegamon CICS, Key/101, Abend-Aid CICS, Websphere MQ Series.

Good to Have Skills:- CICS Interdependency Analyzer, CICS Performance Analyzer, CICS Configuration Manager, , CommServer IP CICS Sockets (EZSockets), , Veristream Host Integrator.

Detailed JD:

·         CICS General.

·         Minor JCL changes to development region jobs.

·         Basic CEMT, CEBR and CECI command and inquiry support.

·         Basic application trouble shooting by identifying the CICS messages in the JESMSGLG, CICSLOG and application return codes and then reference codes in TSO’s QuickRef or CICS Information Center the Messages and Codes manual to interpret diagnostic information.

·         Define and install CICS Resource definitions upon request.

·         Make table changes (FCT’s, PLT’s, SIT’s, XLT’s, SRT’s, ..T’s).

·         Research APARs/PTFs.

·         Advanced Application debugging.

·         Basic System Dump research.

·         UNIX System Services.

·         CICSPlex.

·         Monitor and Inquire on CICSPlex SM system resources via the CICSPlex SM WUI.

·         Research APARs/PTFs.

·         Abend-Aid CICS.

·         Assist application programmers with basic dump reading.

·         Advanced application and system programming dump reading.

·         Research APARs/PTFs.

·         WebSphere MQ Series.

·         Monitor environment – browse queues, investigate MQ defined objects.

·         Make simple JCL to PROCs.

·         Install WMQ definitions on both z/OS and Distributed servers.

·         Provide application dump reading assistance.

·         Research APARs/PTFs via IBMLink website.

·         Make complicated JCL Proc changes.

·         Manage MQ.
