Hi Bram,
I hope you can understand that opening up an API is not a trivial task. It's not the actual implementation that is the problem, it's convincing everyone (including ourselves) that doing so is a responsible thing to do. Our API gives almost direct access to the critical network systems of the operator. Access that is normally protected by very high walls and procedures, and for a very good reason. We are very aware of the positive effect for our members and ourselves of having a public API and are trying to open up what we can. That's why the API has been on our mind from the moment we started working on supporting this new country. In fact, there are several efforts ongoing to provide some cool added functionality for the Belgian one as well. In both cases we are doing what we can, and making progress, albeit not as fast as we would like... I'm sorry if this - in the mean time - results in users contacting you (the developers) for these missing features. If we can help with this communication, let us know.
Regarding the combined API: obviously we aim for a clean and consistent API (one that we would like to use ourselves). There are some country specific things that might not always make a unified API possible. For example, the bundles behave a bit different in both countries which is a result of differences in underlying systems. We'll try to post some info of the new API here as soon as we have a proposal for you to comment upon.
You're free to contact me if you have any further comments or questions.
Cheers,
Davy
