hi,

I installed on an e71, but whatever settings I do for the GPS, MTE says
- 'no GPS devices detected'. But GPS is very much there and works
perfectly with wherami which have also installed. Any clues as what to
do.

Hi,

you need to activate the JR71 setting (sorry, don't remember the exact place to find it).

From

4.2 Internal GPS (via Jsr179)

If your phone has an internal gps unit, and the java Location API (jsr179), MTE can use that as well. To enable the internal GPS:

  • Start up the application
  • Bypass the splash screen by pressing any key
  • Select "Settings" command from the main menu
  • Select "Development Menu"
  • Select "Use Jsr179(if available)"
  • Press "Back", Select "GPS"
  • 1 Device should be displayed: "JSR179 Location API", select this.
  • Press back to return to the main view

thanks - I tried that, but am unable to disable the splash screen.
Pressing any key does not work.

I found the development menu on settings itself - no need to disable the
splash screen. It is now working.
