wake up gps

Does MTE have a feature to keep gps alive?

Get the gps connected, but after a while connection is lost. My gps
has a power safe feature, so it's shuts down when not getting any
signals of MTE.

At startup MTE seems to be capable to wake up gps when it is
'resting' (orange indicator starts to light up).

Took the gps outdoors, and apart from some reconnect problems, there
was no problem.
Offcourse gps itself is aware of not moving, and shuts down.
