Hi Everyone,

I have an odd request I'm hoping someone can help me with.

I'm looking for (keep reading on to get the full context) a novice to
average skilled PHP developer to build a boring, but pretty, web based
mobile shopping list application (for grocery shopping). No user
accounts needed, we'll supply the user account layer. We want it to be
a basic, basic application.

We're looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable, but not an expert, in HTML/Javascript (AJAX would be
nice), PHP and SimpleXML.
- Absolutely NO experience with Artificial Intelligence
- Is good at making stuff look pretty on the screen
- Have to be local in the Portland area and needs to be okay with
being profiled on our web site.

Maybe a gig for a high-school student?

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours (unless s/he is really
novice) and we'll pay $100 for the effort (though the app remains your
property).

OKAY...I know this is a weird request, so here's some background.

Over the last few years we've built, what seems to be, the world's
first horizontal Artificial Intelligence technology residing on the
network (instead of the app level). The idea is that any app, service,
or device can "piggy-back" on the network intelligence so that they
themselves become intelligent and aware of the user, their immediate,
remote, and virtual surroundings and his/her intentions and goals. By
using a highly distributed multi-agent system, any app have the
ability to evolve beyond its original program and do stuff it was
never programmed to do in the first place.

Over the last 2 months we've been focused on raising capital to bring
this out of research mode to commercialization mode. Having raised
capital in the past, this time everything seems to go better than what
we could every have dreamt of. Especially with carriers and their
corporate VC funds. They are imagining this stuff being a part of
phone and tablet firmwares. Imagine if your phone knew that you were
at the supermarket (supermarket is just an example, it could be any
other location or task) and why you were buying the stuff on your
shopping list....and then imagine your phone just pulling up a
shopping list app with personalized content and features. No buttons,
no app stores. Carriers love it as it brings back a balance of power
between them and content providers (they may no longer be the dump
pipe). This huge interest from carriers and investors have pushed us
to be far more aggressive in strategy execution.

And that's the heart of this project. We want to use this app to:

1) Show how easy it is to embed artificial intelligence (without
having any AI experience)....it is literally one line of code in PHP
2) The power of software that can evolve beyond its programmed
abilities to meet the exact need of an individual by understanding
intent and context
3) How network based artificial intelligence can obsolete app stores

So as you see, shopping list app might sound boring, but there's some
cool stuff behind the scenes. And imagine how cool it would be to see
your app do stuff you didn't program it to do :)

If you know anyone who might be interested I would greatly appreciate
an introduction.
