Today, we put out an updated version of High Society. It incorporates
speed updates from the last six months and also now includes audio. For
iPad users, we've started rolling out a method that'll allow you to jump
from one of our apps to another via the menu page. With this release, it
supports High Society and Kingdoms. The others will get added as we
update them. (Money is next on our list.)

We could use reviews for High Society & Kingdoms, as the new releases
have pushed old reviews off the main page. If you haven't posted a
review yet, please do. If you already have, please update your review
for the new version. (This helps to sell our games, which helps us to
keep developing them.)

Just pop these URLs up in iTunes, scroll down past the screenshots, and
under Customer Reviews click 'Write a Review':

http://www.tinyurl.com/rkkingdoms
http://www.tinyurl.com/rkhighsociety

Or, go to the app on your iDevice, touch Options, then scroll down to
the 'Review' link, near the bottom.

Thanks,

Shannon

Shannon,

They're both featured on my next podcast so I'll take my notes and turn them into reviews. I can do the same for Money and Gold, too. If you want me to wait until Money is updated (yay!), I will.

In his review of High Society Lord Gek asked for "an option to play
against the highest difficulty with money NOT hidden".

You can do this already. It's just a two-step process:
1. Choose 'hard' under options and save.
2. Return to options, touch to the far right of the "See Money" row and
a checkmark will appear. Save.

I see that the message on this in the game isn't that clear and will
change it in some future iteration.

Oh, and Lord Gek also said "I'm sure the AI can easily track all
players' current [money] totals."

The answer is, sort of. I've always worked to make all of my AIs very
human, and perfect tracking of money doesn't fit that criteria. So,
whenever an AI records money that a player has spent, they might
accidentally record a little bit high or a little bit low. The lower
difficulty AIs make larger errors than the higher difficulty ones.

Thanks for the thoughtful review & comments, Lord Gek!

So I can trick the system there? When choosing "Hard" I get a pop-up that
now I can't see the AIs' money, but if I simply choose Hard difficulty,
save, and THEN choose "Show Money" I'm okay?

Looks like that works, thanks. I just assumed it would be impossible to
have both options simultaneously as that is what the pop-up message implies.

Yep. Not intended to be a trick. Hard just defaults to not show Money.

I read over the message after I saw your review, and agree it's imprecise.

Thanks,

Shannon

Unless this work around should be kept on the down low I'm more than willing
to update my review with this fix.
