Hi all,

I am curious to hear how the Mobile Devcamp was last Wednesday, and what was created.

best,

Ton

Hi all, Peter,

I won't be able to attend next Wednesday but am curious to see what will be build!
One of the things I would like to see is a decent screenshot maker for my Android G1 phone. (I could make screenshots with the added functionality in the SDK, but there is no real app as of yet)
If anyone has time and energy to do that, that would be great! :)

best,

Ton

to Mobile Dev Camps
Hi Ton,

It was a nice day with some good sessions but I'm afraid turnout was
lower than I had hoped and not many things were developed. I know one
or two mobile widgets were made, and hopefully others which I missed.

I and several of the other MDC organizers are helping put on Mobile
Widget Camp (www.mobilewidgetcamp.nl) on May 2, so hopefully we will
see more app development then. We'd love to have you there and perhaps
we can develop a widget together! Below you'll find the email
announcing the event.

Peter

Hi web developer,

Have you heard about mobile widgets? With Vodafone Mobile Widgets it's
never been easier to develop applications for mobile phone. Learn all
you need to know about mobile widgets at Mobile Widget Camp. This free
event will take place on Saturday May 2 at Pakhuis de Zwijger in
Amsterdam and consists of two parts, learning and doing:

Part 1: Inspire
At Mobile Widget Camp a great group of speakers will tell you all
about mobile widgets and why they're the next big thing in the mobile
space:
- Daniel Appelquist (MoMo London/Betavine)
- PPK (Quircksmode)
- Yme Bosma (Hyves)
- Patrick Leenheers (Vodafone)
- Elliot Kember (Carsonified)

Part 2: Get Your Feet Wet
Beside our great speakers in the morning, you will have the
opportunity to attend workshops in the afternoon and code your own
mobile widgets. Anyone with basic HTML, CSS and Javascript knowledge
can make a mobile widget and help from experts will be available
throughout the day.

Do you need more reasons to come? What about:
- win great prizes for your own mobile widget
- learn about practical cases of mobile widgets
- join 250 other developers
- included lunch
- get technical support by experts while you code
- held in one of the best locations in Amsterdam (near Amsterdam
Central Station)
- all this and more for free (no entrance fee!)
Remember: there is a limited amount of spots available for this free
event! It’s first come, first serve. Go to mobilewidgetcamp.nl and
signup now.

We hope to see you on Saturday, May 2nd!
