I notice eventually my Sync Gateway running on AWS eventually stops (i.e. the Sync Gateway job disappears). I assume this is something to do with it being idle too long, Couchbase Server stays up however.

Is there a work around for this?

Can you post the last 100 lines or so of the sync_gateway logs or stderr, just after it stops.

We have a ticket open that SG fails after a couple of hours, against CBS 3.0.X and using a shadow bucket.

If this is your scenario, you might want try downgrading CBS to 2.5.1 for now.

Hi Andy

I don't think it's a problem, other than an end user problem. I started Sync Gateway with the no hang up command last night, it is still running this morning. I think the problem was my ssh connection to my AWS instance would eventually timeout, hence the no hang up command was required.

nohup sync_gateway configfile.json > logfile

(NB: sync_gateway is a symbolic link in the line above)

If you like nohup, you'll love tmux or screen!
