Couchbase lite setup on the ionic framework

Hello, I am writing the app on ionic framework and I wish to use the couchbase lite in my app. Is ionic supports the couchbase lite sync gateways ??
I have seen the plugin https://github.com/couchbaselabs/Couchbase-Lite-PhoneGap-Plugin  but it is setup on the phone gap.
Can you please help me in setting up couchbase lite app on ionic framework?
It would be great if you could provide me the link for the sample ionic app on the couchbase lite.

I'm not familiar with Ionic, but from the website it looks like it's just a front-end JS framework for building the UI of an app. So it's not directly related to Couchbase Lite, which is for data management and sync. You should be able to use the two of them together.

PhoneGap is just another name for Cordova, which apparently Ionic uses.

Hi, just about to try it myself. Did you managed to get it working? I thing angluar $resource service should work, but did not tried it yet.

FYI, PhoneGap is owned by Adobe and Cordova is the open source version. Generally most plugins are interoperable between the two. We are using Ionic and the Couchbase Lite plugin just fine.

@Jens: Ionic layers AngularJS on top of Cordova and also has a CLI tool that acts as a wrapper for the Cordova CLI for certain tasks.
