Hello Chesterfield Bike Trails members,

As some of you may already know, the City of Chesterfield has
partnered with Trailnet to develop a bicycle and pedestrian master
plan to help the city identify and prioritize projects that will
improve the bicycling and pedestrian environment. As part of the
plan, Trailnet and the city will be holding a walkability audit on
Saturday, July 25. This walkability audit will be an opportunity for
Chesterfield residents to learn more about how small details in the
built environment - curb cuts, sidewalk widths, streetscaping, traffic
flow, all add up to create a unique walking experience. As part of
the audit process, we'll be conducting a visual survey of a stretch of
Chesterfield Parkway from the YMCA southeast to Clarkson. While
nearly every Chesterfield resident has driven this stretch of road,
few have experienced it as a pedestrian.

We'll be taking the findings from this walkability audit and
incorporating them into the plan. This will be a great opportunity to
get involved in the planning process and to continue to advocate for
enhanced bicycle and pedestrian facilities in the City of
Chesterfield.

I've uploaded the flyer for the event to the files section. Please
take a look, pass it on to others, and, if you're interested in
attending, RSVP to me by Wed., July 22.
