strongly recommend members of this group to attend the meeting. I
will be unable to attend but will inquire about the opportunity to
"remote" into the meeting.

Public Forum #2 - Planning Phase
Join the City of Chesterfield and Trailnet for Our Second Public Forum
When: Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Time: 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Location: Chesterfield City Hall, Council Chambers
Address: 690 Chesterfield Parkway West

Chesterfield is just steps away from a bicycle and pedestrian master
plan.

The City of Chesterfield and Trailnet, Inc. are gearing up for the
second public forum for the City's bicycle and pedestrian master
planning process. Trailnet, Inc, is a non-profit organization that
promotes healthy and active living. In April, 2009, Chesterfield
partnered with Trailnet, Inc, to develop a long-range plan to increase
bicycle and pedestrian accessibility, connectivity, and safety.

On June 17th, City residents attended the first public forum to learn
more about what it takes to create a walkable and bikeable community
and to share their experiences of walking and bicycling in and around
Chesterfield. Trailnet, Inc. and the City of Chesterfield have
analyzed these comments and a host of other information to identify
projects that will improve the City's bicycle and pedestrian network.
In addition to infrastructure projects, the planning team will also
propose a number of programs that will educate adults and children on
bicycle and pedestrian safety and encourage residents to take
advantage of the growing number of sidewalks, trails, bike lanes and
bike routes. These recommendations will be presented to City residents
at the second public forum on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. The forum
will be held in the Council Chambers at Chesterfield City Hall from
5:30 - 8:00pm. All Chesterfield residents are encouraged to attend.
