Hi,
I find the lack of clear SLEE thread names inconvenient when
troubleshooting (analyzing thread dumps), performance tuning
(monitoring activity of distinct threads in relation to load patterns),
etc. Especially so as under JBoss having around a hundred threads
(single and pooled) is normal.

I would suggest setting meaningful thread names instead of defaults so
that threads belonging to ER, Timer Facility, etc. could be easily
distinguished.

I can register an issue for that, but the updated template instructs to
discuss every bug and suggested feature before submission.

Go for it, and go further, provide a push request ;-)

Issue registered [1]. Maybe I will "go further" (probably when I get
annoyed by that again in the next "thread-staring session"), but I'll be
glad if someone beats me to it. ;)

I think this deserves an "EasyHack" tag, which is used by LibreOffice
[2] and some other projects. It helps attract new contributors by
giving them a clear place to start, an idea to work on and a chance to
make impact quickly, which is a great motivator. The AS7 port could
possibly spawn some tasks that would qualify as an EasyHack as well.

That is a broad topic, but as you expect more community involvement
with the port, I think there are things to be done to encourage that.
