Hi folks,

Those of you who have used the Mobicents Converged Demo might be interested to know that a couple of friends and I have taken the current example and modified it to support the viewing of video trailers and the purchase of videos off a SEAM-powered website. If you're interested, check out the video tutorial of the system on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvzeYvWtDaI

It shows where you can get the complete code, including pre-built JBOSS binaries and the source code of the client (JAIN SIP Applet Phone) that we used for testing. Awesome.

Wow. That's a good one. Is this really a java applet phone running
from the browser? and playing video through the phone?

Hi Vladimir,

Yes, I can see why this is misleading :-) The project is JAIN SIP Applet phone, but can run in two modes, as an applet embedded in a browser or as a normal Java app. In the video, I am running it as a Java app. I have to say, personally I'm not a fan of applets though ... but yes it is playing video through the phone, we added gstreamer-java support on the phone because JMF just  wouldn't do it for us, but the general media support is still through JMF. We are currently looking for alternative media platforms though, and maybe in future we will use gstreamer for all media support, not just for the RTSP client functionality.
