Voice recognition

Hello,

Are there any plans in developing voice recognition functionalities in
Mobicents (I believe MMS is the right place in fact). I was not able
to fin any based on Mobicents. If yes when are they expected. If no,
could you recommend any frameworks or similar solutions that can be
developed/integrated as RAs to Mobicents and utilized as part of voice
applications.

Yes we do have a plan to support ASR in Mobicents Media Server. Its already in RoadMap for MMS Beta4 http://www.mobicents.org/mms/mms-roadmap.html

Hi Amit,

Thanks for the feedback. Several questions:
- does it mean that it will support speaker identification?
- what is the deadline for BETA4
- do you have already any even initial implementation in ASR? if no,
do you have any design decisions in place (frameworks, RAs, etc.)

Hi Stefan,

Truly speaking we don't have any design. Do you have something in mind?
We have FreeTTS in MMS as of now but we will try and move towards Java Speech API such that any engine can be integrated.
