Hi Mobicents team,
We understand that WebRTC standard is still in progress and definition of video codec (Vp8 vs H.264) is still in the air.
Is it possible as of now to use Mobicents WebRTC client with any Browser which supports H.264? If so which one?
We are trying to create a demo/prototype and our MCUs, and endpoints use H.264.

Thanks

Yes Mobicents as of now is just handling the signalling part ie SIP over WebSockets. The media is peer to peer as such you can use any Browser which supports H.264. I know of Ericsson Bowser experimental Browser for Android and iOS but the android version doesn't have WebSockets so potentially only the iOS version will work. We didn't test that browser yet so if you do feel free to report back.

Thanks Jean
Just as a note I updated to latest Bowser version (today was released 0.1.2) using iPhone 5 & 4s, IPad 2 in IOS 6
and get this error once I try to place a call:

MobicentsWebRTCPhone:call() catched exception:ReferenceError: Cant find variable webkitRTCPeerConnection

Image attached()
When I open the page, I see black square, as not able to get the video.

When i use the "hello world" version, just works fine.

Hope in a future, we can have this functionality implemented in mobicents web client.

Thanks

Thanks Gonzalo,

I created an issue at http://code.google.com/p/jain-sip/issues/detail?id=25 to track it down. If you feel like you would like to contribute and propose a patch that would be most welcome :-)
