Attention Youth Climate Leaders!

The Application for the Sierra Student Coalition's Delegation to COP16 in Cancun, Mexico will now be due Wednesday, July 7th at Noon EST. 

At COP16, Youth Climate Leaders will have the opportunity to work with other youth delegates from around the US and from around the World to advocate for a fair, ambitious, and binding climate treaty. The meetings will bring together global political leadership, the international media, and civil society for two weeks of negotiations, events, and general madness in Cancun, Mexico from November 29th-December 11th, 2010. It's a great way to get involved in international climate politics, learn the ins-and-outs of the UN process, and meet youth climate leadership from all over the globe!

We encourage anyone and everyone to apply- regardless of experience or knowledge about international negotiations.

UPDATE: The COP16 delegation pre-conference training/meetings will be held at Shindig, the SSC National Leadership Gathering in Houlton, Wisconson. You must register for Shindig separately from the delegation application. Scholarships may be available for travel/attendance.
