I’m excited to report that we are ready to launch the SAVE THE DATE announcement and informational website for the June 16th
and 17th Making STEM Real: Science Education for New Civic Engagement and Responsibility symposium at Riverland Community College!
Attached is a printable SAVE THE DATE flyer. It can also be sent out electronically. We’re hoping the announcement can be included
in an upcoming ASA newsletter and/or distributed to list serves and other venues within MnSCU for those who may be interested.
As a reminder, the target audience includes:
· College
and university faculty
· College
and university articulation partners
· Concurrent
enrollment teachers and mentors
· Teacher
educators and teacher education students
· Carl
Perkins Career and Technical Education partners and consortia members
· Alternative
High School and Charter School teachers and administrators
· Curriculum
specialists, deans of instruction
· K-12
and higher education administrators
· Community
Based Organizations and other education partners
We will provide updates as we move closer to the June symposium dates. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. We are also still hoping there will be the opportunity to submit a proposal
for a small grant from Academic and Student Affairs in the System Office to assist with costs.
