Unfortunately, I'm just learning about this opportunity but if there are any candidates to consider for this award who need support for attending, please consider. The deadline for proposed candidates is July 14, 2014 ! It appears that this will be an annual award.

The Internet2 Gender Diversity Initiative Steering Committee has been charged by Internet2 with creating and implementing a program to provide support for emerging information technology women professionals to attend Internet2 technical conferences thereby supporting their entry into the information technology field and the Internet2 community. Internet2 is an exceptional community of U.S. and international leaders in research, academia, industry and government who create and collaborate via innovative technologies via cloud services.
The Steering Committee created the Gender Diversity Award and the winner of the 2014 Internet2 Gender Diversity Award will be invited to participate in the Internet2 Technology Exchange in Collaboration with ESnet hosted by Indiana University (Indianapolis, IN, October 26-30, 2014). The award will cover travel expenses and conference registration.
