Anybody riding Ironman this year? I didn't sign up yet.

Might ride out and do County Cycles' Ironcrotch instead which is MUCH nicer route and on same day. From my house and back it's 102 miles total ride.

I did the Iron Crotch a few years ago and it had some great hills and best of all … home-made cookies at the start and a rest stop … plus ice cream in Osceola!!

My grandaughter and family will be visiting that weekend - probably no long rides for me, but have fun - may you be blessed with good weather (HAH!).

Hey,

Totally depends on weather. Kind of hate driving down to Lakeville to ride my bike and pay $30 to do so. Verdict still out, I might do it. Seems I do every year and every year I say it’s the last time. We’ll see.

Cheers,

J

I’m confused by the discussion of Ironman vs IronCrotch. These are on Sunday May 6 which is the day after the Saturday Cry Me a River 200K brevet. Are all you guys skipping the 200 or are you riding both days?????

I plan to do the Brevet and the Iron Crotch, both at a social pace (remember cookies & ice cream!).

It’s the best kind of 400k.

One where you get to take an 8 hour nap at home with your favorite blankey. ;>)

Well, I caved in and signed up for the ironman.  I think the start is at 7am.  If anyone is going and wants company, let me know.

Richard

Jerry,

Have you signed up on the Minnesota Randonneur site with your own login?  If you have, log in and look at the detail information for the ride and you will see a list of registered riders.  Right now there are nearly 15 riders signed up, hopefully there is someone near you.  Nancy and I are heading to Brainerd for the TCBC Tour of Lakes weekend.  Jonas is the TCBC Ride Leader.

Rob
