Now that my Paris-Brest-Paris experience is better described as Paris-
Brest, my R12 is in danger. Just returned today and I am thinking of
doing my Northern Pancake 200k brevet to salvage the last of my 2012
biking goals. Anyone interested in joining tomorrow at 8am in Brooklyn
Center and listen to my good and bad stories about PBP and how I blew
it? Let me know so I can bring enough waivers and cue sheets.
Jetlagged me could start at 4am, but I'll probably need the time to
check my bike, count your responses and print out the paperwork. Since
I currently don't have access to my yahoo account, you'd either need
to reply to ehren...@ldi-research.com or to the group.

Here is a link to see the full loop: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/35758008

Exact start location: Superamerica at 6545 W River Road (North West
section where 694 crosses the Mississippi, at the 252). Park on the
North end of the Regal Cinemas Brooklyn Center parking lot, next to
the Superamerica Gas Station. To get to the parking lot, turn into
Camden Ave N. from 66th Ave N.

Norman,
I cannot ride Sunday but, if you decide to rest another day or two, I can
ride Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

(Un)fortunately I am back in the employed population, so that doesn't
work for me to salvage the R12. Heading out right now.

Bon Route.  My bike is still in Amsterdam.  Should be here around noon today!

Mine is still in Paris... I'm in Switzerland.  I hope it catches up with me.

Is anyone planning to ride any Permanent route this Saturday? I'd be up for
almost any route from the Northern Pancake to the Hills of Wisconsin or
anything in between. Of course we would not have to ride together but if
there is more than one of us it makes the task more reasonable for the
Permanent owner if we start at the same time. I ride at a modest pace
usually finishing at about 15 mph, maybe 16 if there is no wind and the
course is flat. That's Michele's pace--Bob Elias had to slow down for me.

My Hills of Wisconsin is a bit different than it was originally designed
because of detours around extensive road construction on county highways Q
and N. But, I think this detoured route is better than the original and I
will probably make it the official route soon. It's 126 miles with
7,300-7,700 feet of climb depending on whose computer is measuring it. The
route is very low traffic and much of it is heavily wooded scenery.

Hi Gary,

I can do the Northern Pancake this Saturday to complete my R12. Last Sunday I had an 8:10 time. Attached is the cue sheet. How about 8am, I can do earlier, but you have quite a drive to the start. Anyone wants to join?
