Hi there! Yet another new member joining the group. Thanks for creating this group and inviting me Andy. It's a great idea. As for myself...I'm a software engineer from Shoreview who's now hopelessly addicted to this hobby. My primary interests lie in landscape and wildlife photography and I enjoy traveling in search of new material. I've recently set up a site with the intent of selling some of my work, but I won't be quitting my day job any time soon. Hopefully, I can at least subsidize some of my astronomical equipment costs! Within Minnesota my favorite subject tends to be the North Shore for landscape photography and any of the multitude of Twin City wildlife reserves and nature centers for wildlife. A large catalog of my work can be found on my PBase site at http://www.pbase.com/gschmickle. I look foward to many enlightening discussions and upcoming photo shoots.

Welcome, Guy. You have a really nice gallery. Good luck in selling some
work. I'm sure you'll be able to.

Guy,
You're photos at PBase are great. You've got some real postcard
material there.

Thanks Andy and joroho. Looks like I need to figure out this posting
stuff though! I meant for this to go into the "getting to know you"
thread. You'd think that someone who works with computers all day could
figure this out! :-)

Your gallery is beautiful, Guy. Love the landscapes, especially from
the west (like the Alta view). I have seen your work on pbase before
and always enjoy it. Welcome to the group. By the way...have you ever
photographed the North Cascades NP? Spent some time there this
fall....spectacular.

I think that was my fault. I set the forum up so new members' messages
had to go through moderation (to avoid the spam). In doing that, I
think it automatically made a new thread. That's the only thing I can
think of since the subjects do match up.

I removed that option. If we keep getting spams, I'll just make new
members need approval, rather than their message.
