Besides this forum, I'm curious what other groups on the web you guys
participate in. I mostly lurk in the Pentax SLR forum at dpreview.com,
but the number of new threads make it impossible for me to keep up, so
I'm not always the most motivated to try.

I spend time in both the canon lens forum and canon d350 forum on
dpreview. I also seem to spend a lot of time browsing pbase....always
seem to end up there. I find the lens forum to be the best....some
very good photographers involved.

I tend to lurk in the Lighting, Pro Digital, 20D and Canon Lens forums.
But the forums at dpreview have become tiresome, in my opinion. I think
there's just too many people on them now. I will go in and try to
search for something if I really want to find out, because if it's not
a question about a new product, chances are it's been re-hashed many
times before. And you know what happens when people post a "dumb"
question over there!

Otherwise, I'm a photoblogger, so I've got a few of those that I
frequent. I'm beginning to tire of those too. There are so many out
there now and it's hard to find the gems.

I spend time on DPReview's Canon forums as well. Don't post much there
though. Too confrontational for my tastes. I just like to keep up on
the latest equipment rumors and look for useful tips. I also hang out
in Fred Miranda's landscape and wildlife forums. I occasionally like to
put my images up for review there. I do a fair amount of PBase browsing
(as I'm a member) and occasionally post to their show and tell forum.
Geez, from the sounds of this I need to get a life!!

I used to go to dpreview.com all the time a couple of years ago.
Nowadays it's just every once in a while. It seems like there's always
trolls posting over there.

I also frequent Fred Miranda's Canon-mount SLR forum. There's a lot of
pros (people who do it for a living) that post in there, and sometimes
you can pick up some invaluable tips. Here's a direct link:
http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/2

I occasionally go to PBase's forums, but there's usually nothing too
exciting happening there.

I spend a fair amount of time at the D70 forum at DP review, and
occassionally post on the news and open talk, although those groups are
pretty obnoxious. I occasionally read the Nikon lens forum also.

Otherwise, I post on my other hobbies at cyberjammin.com (online music)
and alt.smokers.pipes

I look through http://rangefinderforum.com/ a couple times a week, but
a lot of times, they get repetitive and boring. The galleries at RFF
are really great though, I've found a lot of my favorite amatuer
photographers on there.

Regularly...

* DWF (Digital Wedding Forum)
* DPReview (D1, D70, Lighting Technique, Retouching, Mac tools) but
it's getting suckier and suckier - especially the brand forums.
* Nikonians
* Adobe Photoshop support
* Apple Discussion forums

... and occasionally ...

* Rob Galbraith
* Sportshooter.com
* Fred Miranda

I go to dpreview, canon 300/350 and the canon lenses forums. I am dave
vichich there.
I send quite a bit on time on dgrin. I'm davev there and everywhere
else.
I go to P.O.T.N. photography on the net. It's a canon forum.
I go to FM Fred Miranda and send most of my time there on the buy and
sell forum.
I send some time looking at the "voted for" photos and galleries on
pbase. I get a 1000 hits a day on my pbase site, but no one votes for
any of my galleries. (hint hint)

I'll say my favorite is dgrin. It's a little slower paced.
Dgrin is having a trip to Zion and Bryce this May, I'm going. 4 days
with a few pros to help us idiots out.

And of course I come here and check up on you guys.

Oh yeah, I check out B&H now and then also. (Oh Oh, not another lens)
