This Year's Guest Speaker: Picture Mill's William Lebeda
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Creative Director William Lebeda, is a graphic designer, animator and
director who has worked in the field of entertainment design since the
early 1990's. Since joining Picture Mill in 1995, William has designed
and directed projects for motion pictures, advertising agencies and
television. Some of the Los Angeles based Picture Mill's recent projects
include opening sequences for the films Fast Five, and Green Hornet,
and the new open for the TV series Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Mr. Lebeda will give a presentation at the MET evening event, and also

Come and celebrate Twin Cities Computer Graphics
at the 2011 Minnesota Electronic Theater.

The 2011 Minnesota Electronic Theater will take place
Thursday, December 1st from 5PM to 10PM, at the site
of last year's event, Sneaky Pete's Bar and Grill.
For more than 20 years, The Minnesota Electronic Theater has been the
annual meeting place for the state's computer graphics community. It has
served as the premiere showcase for locally-produced award-winning
animation and a unique venue for computer graphics professionals,
educators, and students to socialize.
The centerpiece of the evening is the MET Show Reel. The Show
Reel is an hour-long presentation of locally produced computer
graphics oriented short videos. They are selected from professional,
student, and independent entries submitted to a jury composed of last
year's award winners. At the end of the evening the 2011 MET
awards will be presented.
The preliminary schedule for the Evening is as follows:
5:00-6:30PM Screening of international and local SIGGRAPH materials
6:30-7:30PM Guest speaker: William Lebeda
7:30-8:30PM Presentation of the MET 2011 Show Reel
8:30-9:00PM Awards ceremony and Panel discussion with the winners
Sneaky Pete's is a bar and grill located at 14 North 5th St.
in the Warehouse district of Downtown Minneapolis.
Sneaky Pete's is on 5th Street, between Hennepin and 1st Avenues.
There is a light rail station across from their front door.

HD Video
This year we are working with Sneaky Pete's to
present the MET 2011 show reel in HD resolution. Please feel
free to check www.MET2011.org for updates on our progress.
Entries may be submitted on Video-DVD (SD) as in past years.
If your entry is available in HD, we will be accepting
720 x 1280 Quicktime movies in Animation, H264, or ProRes 422 codecs.
Work can be delivered on Data-DVD or you can contact us at
in...@MET2011.org to make other arrangements.
