Hi All,
the red admiral migration continues. Today I did 3 fixed position
counts of 15 minutes each. Counted 19, 41, and 36, for a total of
96. Apparently this is a huge event across most of the Midwest and
East, and adjacent Canada. At Iowa State University there has been a
continuing research project on Vanessa sp migrations. They have a
website: vanessa.ent.iastate.edu, it might be a good idea to share
some of our observations with them.
