We are delighted to inform you that IIT Delhi is organizing Tryst’15, its annual technical festival from 27th February to 2nd March 2015. We feel that this technical extravaganza is a perfect opportunity for growing scientific talent from your institution to exchange ideas and innovations and get a rich learning experience.
Tryst is North India's largest scientific techno-management festival organized by IIT Delhi. Robotics, computing and programming events,designing, electronics and a series of workshops and lectures by eminent personalities are synonymous with the festival. The popularity of the festival is evinced by the fact that thousands of students from more than 500 highly recognized technical and managements colleges all over the country make their presence felt at the fest.This year we plan to invite more than 1000 colleges and increase our domain in terms of the range of the activities.
Every year, Tryst IIT Delhi, takes the social initiatives to involve youth population as a part of its awareness programmes which involve current social problems. This time Tryst'15 presents GWYST(Green Twist With Tryst) which is a step that involves not only youth but each section of the society for the notion of Sustainable Development and adverse consequences of neglecting it. GWYST is a challenge which can be taken by colleges across India. One team is registered from each college which complete tasks from different domains to earn points and top the scoreboard. The teams may choose any task they wish to complete from any domain and conduct these in their campus. The activities range from conducting a quiz, recycling waste to setting up a rain harvesting system, auditing greenhouse gas emissions in their city, organizing a green march in their city. The activities will be such to create awareness as well as apply practical solutions to the existing problems on these issues.
Top 5 teams with maximum points are invited to Tryst’15 to present their work of GWYST. Top 5 teams who will come to give a presentation of the work they did (only 3 members), will have their train fares reimbursed (applicable only for Sleeper Class, presenting their train tickets).
Prizes worth INR 3,00,000 to be won.
