I know the rest of Four Foot Meat Rope are on this list, as well as
some other friends and acquaintances. What are y'all planning on doing
for the Gent's Ride? Camping? Hotel? Driving both ways and riding all
in one day? Riding down? I'm thinking I'll stay overnight the night
before the ride and then drive home afterward. I'm trying to formulate
a plan.

I am going to camp the Friday before and drive home after the ride and
after party. I'll be driving down after work, leaving the St. Paul
around three or four. I can fit three more folks (four if you want to
squeeze) + bikes in my truck.

I was planning to camp at least the night before, maybe the night
after also, but since Josh offered, i might just carpool with him. If
i end up staying 2 nights, i can carry 1 other bike and gear in my
car.

Are you guys planning to stay in my yard? As it stands I think there are four or five tents being set up with room for plenty more.

I had been thinking forestville, but am open to whatever the meat rope
wants to do.

I was thinking Forestville for camping too. Just because that's what I
did for Almanzo. And it's a pretty short drive to the start. I'm
definitely open to other possibilities though. How far is it from
Chris's place to the start? I think camping at least Friday night
sounds good. I'd be open to staying Saturday night too. Especially if
drunken, madcap antics are to ensue at the after party. My truck is a
little more spacious than Josh's, so I'm open to driving if that works
better. The entire four feet of meat rope plus their bikes will easily
fit.

My house is in Rochester, which is about a 30 minute drive to the start.

Thanks, Chris, I'd definitely be up for staying at your place.

Yes. Thank you Chris. Both for the offer to camp at your house and for
the info. Pitching a tent at Chris's house would be fine with me. 30
minutes to the start isn't bad at all. Enough time to wake-up and
"mentally prepare".
