Hi all,

Hope everyone's winter is going well. I'm just curious to see if any
of y'all are planning on dropping a card in the mail for Ragnarok.
I've never done it before. Is it like Almanzo where it's open to
whomever wishes to ride? Or do they have a rider limit?

They have a limit and do it by lottery if memory serves. I'm sending
in my card and crossing my fingers.

I think the limit was 80 riders last year, 105 this year. April 9 -
better get those winter miles in!

Thanks guys! I guess I could've just checked the blog myself. I
wonder how many riders will be turned away with the limit of 105... No
kidding about getting the early miles on! I think I'm going to send in
a card. I might regret it but It'll give me something to train for
over the winter. Are you going to send in a card Bill?

I dunno - i'd love to ride it, but i haven't been riding lately and
i'm not sure of my prospects for riding through the winter. I was
barely in shape to get through Almanzo this year, and that's 6 weeks
later than the 'rok. Still, i'm thinking about it. Getting in would
certainly give me more motivation to ride in the snow.

You beat me at Almanzo last year! So did almost everyone else who
finished but that's beside the point. I'm doing it to provide myself
with some motivation. If I get in that is. If not, I'll just sit on my
ass and drink all winter...

I think I'm in...but will probably wait to send in my card until a
little later, just to make sure. It will be my first Ragnarok, if
selected.
