Folks,
I'd like to get in another long gravel ride (100+ ish). I was toying
with the idea of heading out towards Chaska and maybe finding some of
the roads where WDB might end up, and/or a well constructed sandwich.
Wanted to see if anyone is interested in joining me? I'm flexible on
which day of the weekend, and will adjust to maximize the number of
people.
Thanks,
Josh

Hi Josh -

Not sure what you mean with WDB or a well constructed sandwich. ...But
I am interested in a long ride. Looks like fine weather for all road
century.

The time slots I could do it are either:
- Saturday starting mid-afternoon and no worries if I'm home late
- Sunday starting early AM start (start before 6 AM) so I'm back and
functional as a parent by 4PM

A variation if you are interested might be to leave later on Saturday,
camp somewhere, return Sunday morning...

WDB = Westside Dirty Benjamin, ride #3 in the 2010 gravel race series:

With plans and travel i probably can't get out until the 5th or 6th,
but will be doing a long training ride one of those days.

I'm up for it. And I don't think we have plans for May 29, 30. I will
await further details.

I've not put together a full route yet as this week has been a bit on
the crazy side. My plan is to leave from CRC around 9 on Sunday, head
down to the gravel trail on minnetonka blvd and see where it takes me.
I loosely plan for something like mpls -> chaska -> minnetrista ->
wayzeta -> mpls. I expect to follow whatever road looks interesting,
and hopefully find a good amount of gravel along the way.
Thanks,
Josh

Hay Josh,

Are you still planning on roughly 100 miles? And do you think the pace
will be similar to what we did on the Lake Pepin ride? The reason I
ask is because my brother-in-law, Robb (the one who was supposed to do
Almanzo), has expressed interest in riding with us. I was kind of
half-relieved he didn't make Almanzo because I'm not quite sure how he
would have fared. I'm trying to gauge whether or not I should
encourage him to come along.

Oops! That went to everyone? Ah well... I hope Robb isn't on this list.

Everyone is welcome and I'll ride the pace of the slowist with us. I
also encourage stops whenever needed/wanted. If folks want to drop
me / us that's no problem too.

Sorry for got the hundred mile part. I do plan to go about that far.
Without an exact route figure +\- 20%. I don't expect many people so
I'm sure we can figure out what's best for us along the way.
