Measuring SO2 in wine

Can anyone point me in the direction of a method or equipment that
economically measures free so2 in wine. I am a hobbyist winemaker so
not interestred in a large expense.

Ron,
Go to piwine.com and look for titrets. They are sold in packs of 10 for about 12 dollars.
Each tester is a sealed glass vile with a flexible stem that you assemble. Break the stem, put the tip in your sample and squeeze the small ball valve to draw wine into the vile. There are graduations on the vile that tell you your free so2 value. It works by color change, so go slow, shake and draw more in untill the sample in the vile matches the color of the original sample (it will start out purple).
I can show you at the next meeting and I think there are directions in the box...

Thanks Mark. I have those type of tests for acid and PH. Of course I
get such high readings that I was suspect that they worked. I can
probably get a kit at Midwest...Ron
