Summer is almost here and that means that we have increasing number of events coming up. This weekend is especially busy but check out also the Freedom to Drive at 7 Clans Casino in Red Lake at the end of this month. They even provide a
small compensation if you bring your EV to the event for display.
I will be heading to Finland in the beginning of June but will be back for our biggest event of the year, the State Fair EV display at the Eco Experience building. I hope that many of you can organize, support and participate different EV events as part of
other events this summer. When you start working on an event, please reach out to Lisa Thurstin so she can help you with that by providing tips, flags and handout materials for the event. You can also find the EV Event Coordinator Handbook on our webpage

www.facebook.com/groups/mnevowners/ and invite them to display their vehicles at the event or just to participate.
We have a good list of potential meeting locations and topics lined up for the fall and will get those organized in September.

North Shore Scenic Electric Vehicle Drive
Minnesota EV owners are hosting a group EV road trip along the North Shore. Participants will drive from Blaine to Two Harbors (~170 miles) with optional charging stops, then continue to Grand Marais (~83 miles) for an overnight stay. Attendees will have time
to eat, shop, and explore locally. Those who prefer not to stay overnight may return from Two Harbors the same day. The group will drive back on May 17, with flexible charging stops as needed. Open to EV owners, families, friends, and those curious about electric
vehicles. Carpooling and ridesharing are encouraged.

Student teams from across Minnesota will race their solar boats in the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society’s 32nd Annual Solar Boat Regatta Saturday, May 18, at Lake Riley in Eden Prairie.

Freedom to Drive at 7 Clans Casino
A showcase of electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies. Food will be served, and a ribbon-cutting for a new fast charger will be hosted by Tribal dignitaries.
Native Sun and the Red Lake Nation to host an upcoming Resource Fair and EV Showcase and are looking for 5–10 local EV owners interested in participating. This is a paid opportunity to showcase your EV, connect with community members, and help support EV education
through real-world owner experiences and conversations.

Vehicle Participant Arrival: 3:00 PM
Public Event Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Compensation: $100 + up to $30 for a car wash
