State Fair training on Tuesday

State Fair starts on Thursday! We will have another fun Fair to talk with people about EVs. If you haven’t picked up a shift yet, do so soon since there are still a few shifts available (info below.) We have Ford F-150 Lightning, Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2 on display with electric garage and a DCFC station. You really don’t need to be an expert on everything EVs, but just be there to talk with people about your experiences and help answer their questions which usually are not very complicated. During this training we will go through our display setup, provide volunteer information and discuss public engagement. In addition to our State Fair plans, we will talk about other upcoming events. Remember also that all our members are welcome to stop by and help out any day at the Fair, even if you didn’t sign up for an official shift.

State Fair volunteer shifts
We have again a great opportunity to talk with thousands of people at the State Fair—there are still volunteer spots available, so sign up to be there: We will have a Tesla Model Y and a Ford Mustang Mach-E on display at the Eco Experience Building. As a volunteer, you will talk with attendees near the electric cars and share your experiences of driving, charging and owning an EV in Minnesota. MPCA will also setup their Green Garage, where they will feature EV charging options and electric garden equipment. MPCA will be sending Fair tickets for all volunteers before the fair, so make sure your address is up to date if you are a returning volunteer.
