Hi,

is it possible to change the pronunciation field to be part of the question (and not part of the answer)

The reason is: as a Chinese-beginner you need the pronunciation (pinyin) in the question field, but later I just want to see "original" Chinese and put the pronunciation back to the answertab.

So a small change in the configfiles or a checkbox in the GUI would be great :)

Actually, this just popped up this week on the mailing list. The feature you
need to vote for is the following:

-support-for-n-sided-card-types-30-work-units-

Cheers,

Voting is done, thank you.

The link says is already possible w/o UI, how can I do this?

The underlying machinery is present in the software, but you need to write a
plugin to access it, which is not really something the average user would
do.

Does some kind of tutorial exist for writing plugins for mnemosyne?

Not really a tutorial, but there exist a set of example plugins to
illustrate different aspects of it if you check out the developer's source
code in Launchpad.
