What is the last .dmg version of Mnemosyne that will run on Mac Leopard 10.5.8? Stated another way, what is the newest .dmg version of Mnemosyne that will run on Mac Leopard 10.5.8?

For those of you following on the mailing list, Patrick answered this
privately as follows:

The last version supporting 10.5 is the 1.x series. The 2.x series
only supports 10.6 and later.

Cheers,

Peter

I was confused by
https://groups.google.com/forum/?_escaped_fragment_=topic/mnemosyne-proj-users/s6cE3AAVbWk#!topic/mnemosyne-proj-users/s6cE3AAVbWk
<https://groups.google.com/forum/?_escaped_fragment_=topic/mnemosyne-proj-users/s6cE3AAVbWk#%21topic/mnemosyne-proj-users/s6cE3AAVbWk>,
from Oisn Mac Fheara, stating "Starting with version 2.2.1, Mnemosyne
once again runs on OS X Leopard (10.5) for Intel machines". Is that
referring to Mnemosyne installed from source as opposed to installed
from .dmg?

Hi all,

I did release a 2.2.1 build of Mnemosyne compiled on my Macbook running OS X 10.5, but there were some problems with it and I didn't know how to proceed, so we backed it out for now. I'd be happy to try again, but we'd have to solve the problem I ran into before.

I did not see any followup information, in that "thread", refuting the announcement that Mnemosyne 2.2.1 would run on OS X 10.5. I was interested in trying Mnemosyne, but I am only running OS X 10.5.8; so, I wanted to ask what that announcement meant, despite the compatibility information displayed at http://mnemosyne-proj.org/download-mnemosyne.php and despite Peter Bienstman's gracious reply. Thanks for replying.

Incidentally, please do not resume trying to build a latest version of Mnemosyne that will run on OS X 10.5 as a result of my inquiry. I was interested in trying Mnemosyne, but I guess I am in the minority of OS X users who still run 10.5.

Merry Christ-mas and Happy New Year
