Hi Peter,

1.  I have noticed this several times now under Windows...  when Mnemosyne starts, it shows the first card automatically.  If that card has an image, then it displays as blank.  In other words, I have a card where both the question field and the answer field have tags of <img src....>  and when Mnemosyne first starts, it doesn't show/load the images.  It displays a blank card.  When this happens, I just do "Show Answer" and go to the next card, which displays properly.

2.  The second item may not be an issue.  It just seems strange though.  If I am going through cards, and then import more cards.  The new cards and existing cards (which have their own distinct tags) are all activated (selected as active), and also the program settings are for "show in random order", it seems like the newly imported cards are not included into the rotation of what is displayed.  So, I will go and select the tag only for the new cards.  Display a few of those.  Then go back and "select" all the tags again.  Once I have done this, then I get a mix of old and newly imported cards.

#1 is a known GTK bug.  I think I read on Google plus that Peter has it fixed (or maybe a workaround), so presumably it will be in a future release.

OK, I see #1 seems to be addressed in the 2.2 RC 1 release notes.

The other issue comes from the fact that after importing, the currently
learning queue is not immediately rebuilt, so you first need to go
through the cards that Mnemosyne was planning to ask you before the
import, before you start to see the new cards.

Fiddling with 'Activate cards' always rebuilds the queue, so the new
cards can appear quicker then.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks Peter.  The explains it.

As for the other issue about the image card/GTK bug, I see it discussed in the next release change log.
Is that officially released now so that we can/should download it?

It's not yet officially released, but the prerelease should be fine
for daily work.
