alignment goes wrong

Is there a way to solve problems with the alignment of the text on the cards?

For example:
I enter the following:

But what I get is:

Hi,

 

Have a look at ‘settings’ ‘configure mnemosyne’ ‘card appearance’ ‘alignment’. Alignment can even be set differently for different card types.

Thanks, Peter, but that doesn't help. It only aligns the whole lot to the left or right.
My problem is that when I enter this 'little inverted c' (see image) it doesn't matter how many spaces I put before it, it still shows up at the end of the previous word instead of at the beginning of the second, as it should.

Ah, I see what you mean now.

 

Can you export this card and send to me privately? That way I can see if it’s a bug in the html engine of the toolkit we use (which I can do nothing about) or if it’s something I can fix.
