Thank you for the RC.

Both the crash when compacting the database (which I also experienced but didn't get around to report) and the sound issue are solved in this release.

Attaching an updated AUR snapshot for anyone else out there on Arch that wants to give it a try as well.

Regards,
Joel

I just tried running a database compaction with the 2.3.5-RC1 code, and received this error in a popup:

Traceback (innermost first):
File "mnemosyne\pyqt_ui\compact_database_dlg.pyo", line 144, in accept
NameError: global name 'archive_statistics' is not found

I had unchecked both of the boxes for "Delete unused media files" and "Defragment database".

I've been using Mnemosyne for at least 3+ years, and don't believe that I have ever tried to compact the database.

Thanks
David Schuler.

Unchecking the two boxes before compacting yields the same error popup for me as well. More precisely, the error occurs any time the "Defragment database" option is unchecked.

Crash is indeed gone in RC2. Updated AUR snapshot attached.
