What the heck:

I can't open these cards with my mnemosyne 221.  I just click open and then navigate to the cards stack on my desktop, right?

Hi,

Card files are imported through 'file - import'.

In any case, please upgrade to the latest Mnemosyne version. E.g., it will give a warning if you try to open cards files in a different way.

Cheers,

Peter

ah yes

Tiens, what's the difference with open? Something to do with the learning curve data that yes/no comes with it?

I'm one of those happy Apple OSX Unix Mac users. I understood we have no upgrade?

Open is for opening a new db file. (You might have noticed that if you did 'file - open' the filter only showed *.db files, not *.cards files.)

Import is for importing (i.e. adding) a new set of cards to your existing database.

That's unfortunately true...
