Hello,

I'm searching for a way to sync Mnemosyne between Windows Vista and Lubuntu; since both are running on the same PC via DualBoot, doing this via the build-in server feature won't work.
However, I didn't find an explanation on how to sync Mnemosyne via Dropbox; which Files do you have to put into Dropbox and how do you tell your local Mnemosyne-program to use files which are within your Dropbox?

Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,

Concerning Windows, I've installed Mnemosyne onto my Dropbox and put a link on my desktop without any problems.
However, I cannot start that same .exe - File via Linux, Wine doesn't seem to work either.
Which means that via Lubuntu, I can only open a locally installed mnemosyne, no syncing right now.

The database and its files are at a different location than the program files. The program files does not need to be synched, install mnemosyne at normal location.
On windows 7 the default location of the database is located at:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Mnemosyne
On vista however, it may be located at a different location. You may choose file>open in mnemosyne and the path the dialog starts in is usually the right directory. It should contain a file called "default.db".
Once you have located the right directory, you must make a symbolic link in the dropbox directory to it. This is different than a regular link that we usually use. I used this guide:

However I wonder if it would be easier and better for you to just make a command line script that replaces changed files and adds new files once the operating system starts, since you only need to sync on the same computer.
