Statistics: Cards Added and Cards Learned Count Deleted Cards

Howdy,
Sometimes, I'll load a bunch of cards and run through them to test formatting.  Then, I'll delete them, and reload them to learn them properly.  Sometimes, to achieve aesthetic formatting, I have to repeat this process several times.  However, the Cards Added and Cards Learned statistics are counting the deleted cards.  Moreover, because I'm testing an entire deck of sometimes hundreds of cards, this skews the statistics significantly.  Is there any fix for this?  Thanks much for any help.

Howdy,
I've discovered two additional issues, that may be related since I've recently upgraded to Mnemosyne 2.3.1 from 1.*.*.

First, the default action (space bar) is grade 2, not grade 4.  I suppose I could just hit 4 instead of the space bar, but it would be nice to find the proper solution.  Is there a way to change what space bar does?

Second, import is not skipping duplicate cards.  Then, when I use "find duplicate cards," it just tags them as duplicates, instead of deleting them (in contrast with 1.*.*).  I see three possible solutions (in descending order):
1.  Is there a way that I can get Mnemosyne to not add duplicate cards (as it once did)?
2.  Is there a way that I can get Mnemosyne to delete duplicates instead of only tagging them as duplicates?
3.  Is there a way that I can get Mnemosyne to tag only the newest as a duplicate, so I could then delete them myself without having to differentiate between which of the duplicates to delete?

Hi,

For unlearned cards, the default grade is 2, for previously learned grades it's 4.

If you want to quickly delete all cards with the 'duplicate' tags, go to the card browser, deselect all tags, select only the 'duplicate' tag. Then you can select multiple cards, right-click and delete.

Hi,

Perhaps a good workaround would be to create a special dummy database for playing around? That way, they don't mess up the statistics in your true database.

Howdy,
Thanks much.  It's good to know that 2 is the default for new cards, that totally makes good sense.  For the other two, done and done; plus creating a dummy data base also makes it significantly less likely to add duplicate cards in the first place.  Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
