Hi there!

Hope you are all well this morning!

I've tried to download Mnemosyne on MacOS. But I simply get the following error when I follow the steps provided in the download page of Mnemosyne's website:

I've even tried to download the PyPi version, however I simply get an error in pip every time I try that.

Have anyone else managed to make this work on MacOS?

Thank you for your help in advance! :)

I'm putting Devin, our Mac OS developer, in CC.

Cheers,

Hi Eric, what verision of macOS are you using? Sequoia? Tahoe? My "About this Mac" section says "macOS 26.2" at the bottom - that number would be helpful

I know Mnemosyne worked on previous versions, but I have just installed Tahoe today so will need to debug a bit. I wanted to understand if your issue was a general issue or Tahoe-specific.

I guess some other things that could help us resolve:

1. Are you comfortable using the Terminal?
2. If so, can you run pip --version or pip3 --version ?
3. If so, were you able to run pip install mnemosyne-proj ?

I am also having troubles using the installer but to directly get the issue solved using pip might be easier for you.

God morning Devin!

I've attached my version of MacOS and pip. The installation of mnemosyne-proj was successful, but I can't open it up, Python can't find it as a module.

Thank you for your help!
