Error on start: The application terminated as a result of a CTRL+C

Hi,

please excuse my not perfect English.

When I'm trying to start mnemosyne, every time it stops with the error-message "The application terminated as a result of a CTRL+C".

My OS is Windows xp. When the error occurred the first time, I follow the advice on the download page and uninstall Mnemosyne and then install "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015". Then I installed Mnemosyne again and tried again, but the error still remains.

I’m afraid Windows XP is no longer supported as of Mnemosyne 2.4…
