What does "Remember which cards you've seen..." in cram plugin mean?

Hello!

What does "Remember which cards you've seen when restarting Mnemosyne" mean? What does it actually do? I thought the point of cramming was to not remember the cards. Does checking this box cause Mnemosyne to track statistics on these cards ... or what?

It does not track statistics for these cards even then.
