Tech Issue: Mnemosyne won't run

Hello,

I am required to use the mnemosyne program for my arabic class in college. I have successfully downloaded the program to my Mac computer (10.11.6 software), but the program will not open or run. I am not receiving error messages or anything of that nature; the program simply won't open. I have tried common troubleshooting techniques (deleting and redownloading, restarting computer, etc), but have had no luck. 

At the advice of my professor, I am inquiring about my problem here. Is this a common problem or are there any known fixes? I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

I’m afraid that for Mac, you might need 10.12 instead of an earlier version, as mentioned on our downloads page…
