First Peter let me thank you for the system. That can get lost in all my questions.

Second is there any way when editing a card that I might create a duplicate by mistake? (Note: Usually my question is the same word with a different diagram for each card - don't know does find duplicates realize the jpg is different)

Hi,

Of course that's possible, but running 'find duplicates' should detect it.

Cheers,

Peter

How would editing create a duplicate? Is there a way to replace the new one over the old one as opposed to creating a copy of it.

Also my question is always the same ("Moves.") followed by a chess diagram. So I think the find duplicates wouldn't work here as it couldn't tell the difference between 2 chess diagrams.

Hi,

If you edit a card to result in the same question as another card, that will result in a duplicate.

For duplicates, not only the ‘vanilla’ text, but also e.g. image links are taken into account, so using different chess diagrams will be OK.

Cheers,

Peter
