Hello!

I couldn't find anything about this subject, so I hope it hasn't been posted before. I'm trying to find a video format, that works on all platforms. So far I used H.264 in a MP4 container (I encoded my videos like this "ffmpeg -i <infile> -an -vcodec libx264x <outfile>.mp4"), which works nicely on Mac and Linux (Ubuntu 12.04 with Mnemosyne 2.1 installed from source). But I can't get videos to work at all on Windows 7. I tried Theora in a OGG container, which doesn't work under OSX or Windows (didn't test Linux) so it's not an option. Are there any other options?

Thanks in advance!

/Richard

THAT is exactly what I wanted to know:  many thanks, Richard.

I should add, that the "-an" flag for ffmpeg disables the audio streams in your encoding! I don't need audio in my videos and never tested it on any platform.

Do Videos work at all under Windows? I can't get it to work at all. Does anybody have success with this? Which video codec/container did you use?
