Customize font in Mnemosyne Android app?

Hello, 

I am using the Mnemosyne app on my Android phone to study ancient greek. As well known, Android phones' fonts (or at least older models') have issues with Polytonic Greek: they just can't display accented and spirited characters. I think I could fix the problem by forcing Mnemosyne to use a different font (that I would put in its folder), but I don't know how to do it. Is there a config file I can edit?

Can you help me?

And do you think my workaround could work?

The gogorender plugin was written to address this problem:

It renders non-Latin characters as bitmap images using the Qt
libraries that underlie Mnemosyne and the fonts available on the PC.

That said, it probably doesn't work "out of the box" for the new
Android client (which I don't use; my phone is too old). I don't have
any time to adapt it, but I am happy to accept patches!
