Confused about importing ".cards"

Hi folks,

Sorry for what may be a dumb question. I'm new to Mnemosyne and would like to use several user-made packs of vocab flash cards (Chinese) on Mnemosyne 2.3.6. I downloaded the user-made files in ".cards" format and can't seem to sync them with the application. I'm on windows 10 here. I couldn't seem to find instructions in the documentation.
